Some dogs are born with expectations. Paisley was bred to carry forward a legacy.
As the daughter of our foundation female, HRCH Bourbon Country’s Blue Ribbons And White Socks MH NDL National Derby Finalist (2x International Grand Passes), Paisley represents the next generation of everything we have worked to build at Bourbon Country Retrievers. From the day she was born, we believed she possessed the qualities to become a cornerstone of our breeding program, carrying forward the intelligence, athleticism, trainability, and exceptional temperament that have become the hallmark of our kennel.
A striking dark chocolate female with beautiful breed type, Paisley combines elegance with athleticism. She possesses excellent structure, tremendous natural marking ability, exceptional intelligence, and the calm, biddable temperament that makes advanced retriever training both enjoyable and rewarding. She approaches every training session with enthusiasm and confidence, displaying the natural desire and work ethic that cannot be taught.
Paisley is backed by one of the strongest performance pedigrees in our breeding program. She is sired by Gator Points Hard Workin’ Man NDL MH MNH HOF QAA2, an accomplished competitor recognized for producing talented, highly trainable retrievers. Through her dam, Socks, she carries the influence of the legendary FC AFC Storm’s Riptide Star, the only chocolate National Field Champion in history, along with FC Running With The Devil, FC AFC Dare to Dream, FC AFC Hawkeye’s Candlewood Shadow, FC AFC Ruff Rivers Oasis On The Plains, FC AFC Land Ahoy, and numerous Field Champions, Amateur Field Champions, National Derby List dogs, Hall of Fame retrievers, and Master Hunters. It is a pedigree built on generations of proven performance and genetic excellence.
Although Paisley has had limited opportunities to compete in field trials, she has already demonstrated the natural ability we expected by successfully finishing three of the four Derby stakes she entered. Those early performances confirmed her intelligence, confidence, and competitive potential.
As Paisley continues to mature, our focus is shifting toward the hunt test game, where we believe her natural ability and outstanding temperament will allow her to thrive. Our goal is to earn her Hunting Retriever Champion and Master Hunter titles while ultimately qualifying for and competing in the 2027 International Grand.
While we are excited about her future in competition, we believe Paisley’s greatest contribution will come as a producer. As a direct daughter of Socks, she represents the continuation of one of the most important maternal lines at Bourbon Country Retrievers. We have every confidence that she will pass along the qualities we value most—sound structure, exceptional marking ability, intelligence, trainability, and loving dispositions—to future generations.
Simply put, Paisley is everything we hoped she would be… and we believe her greatest accomplishments are still ahead.
Fun Fact
Paisley’s name was inspired by one of our favorite country music artists, Brad Paisley.
When Brad Paisley released his hit song “She’s Everything,” we knew it perfectly captured how we felt about this special young female. That inspiration became the foundation for her registered name, Bourbon Country’s She’s Everything To Me, while her call name, Paisley, naturally followed in honor of the artist who inspired it.
Over time, her name has taken on an even deeper meaning. As the daughter of Socks, Paisley truly represents everything we hope to preserve and build upon at Bourbon Country Retrievers—a legacy of excellence founded on elite genetics, proven performance, exceptional temperament, and an unwavering commitment to producing extraordinary Labrador Retrievers.
