She possesses excellent structure, effortless athleticism, and the intelligence and natural cooperation that make advanced retriever training both enjoyable and rewarding. She approaches every training session with enthusiasm, confidence, and an eagerness to please, displaying the work ethic and desire that define the Bourbon Country Retrievers program.

Onyx is backed by generations of proven performance. Her pedigree is filled with accomplished Field Champions, Amateur Field Champions, Qualified All-Age retrievers, Master Hunters, and Hunting Retriever Champions. With influential dogs such as FC AFC Trumarc’s Sting, FC AFC It’s All Over Now Baby Blue, and numerous accomplished retrievers throughout her pedigree, Onyx possesses the genetic foundation we believe is necessary to compete at the highest levels while producing exceptional hunting companions for generations to come.
