Bourbon Country’s Troublesome Seaside Experience

“Cruize” is an exciting young female whose natural talent, competitive drive, and exceptional marking ability have made her one of the most promising field trial prospects to come through Bourbon Country Retrievers.

Built on a moderate frame with tremendous athleticism, Cruize combines speed, intelligence, and determination with the natural style and trainability that we value in our breeding program. She possesses a tremendous desire to retrieve and approaches every training session with enthusiasm and intensity, always eager for the next challenge.

What separates Cruize is her natural marking ability. She has an exceptional memory for falls, tremendous focus, and the confidence to attack difficult retrieves with speed and precision. Her competitive spirit and work ethic have allowed her to make an immediate impact in Derby competition, where she has already earned a Derby win, two Reserve Jams, two Jams, and a Qualifying 4th Place, proving she has the talent to compete against some of the country’s best young retrievers.

Cruize represents the type of dog we strive to produce—one with the intelligence, athletic ability, and heart to compete at the highest levels of the sport. As she continues her field trial career, our goal is for her to earn her Qualified All-Age (QAA) and ultimately her Qualified All-Age 2 (QA2) titles before advancing to Open competition.

While her competitive career remains the priority, Cruize embodies the qualities that define Bourbon Country Retrievers: exceptional marking ability, trainability, determination, and an unwavering desire to work. We believe her greatest accomplishments are still ahead of her, and we look forward to watching her continue to develop into an elite all-age retriever.
