Bourbon Country’s Going To Be Amazing
Some dogs earn their reputation in competition. Others earn it through the generations they leave behind. We believe Mazey is destined to do both through the legacy she creates.
Mazey has become an invaluable part of the Bourbon Country Retrievers breeding program because she possesses the qualities we value most—exceptional genetics, natural ability, beautiful breed type, and an outstanding maternal pedigree. A striking chocolate female with tremendous substance, strong bone, and classic Labrador structure, Mazey has the look, intelligence, and temperament we strive to produce in every generation.
What makes Mazey especially significant is her pedigree. She is a maternal sister to our foundation female, Socks, sharing the same remarkable dam, HR Gator Points Rockin’ The Boat QAA2 MH, affectionately known as “Jiggy.” Jiggy has proven herself to be an exceptional producer, and we believe Mazey carries many of the same qualities that have made that maternal line so influential within our breeding program.
Her pedigree is stacked with proven performance retrievers, including FC AFC High Tech CEO, HR Gator Points Rockin’ The Boat QAA2 MH, 2x NAFC 2x CNAFC FC CFC Ebonstar Lean Mac, FC AFC Land Ahoy, and numerous Hall of Fame retrievers, Field Champions, Amateur Field Champions, and Master Hunters. These generations of elite genetics provide the foundation for the intelligence, athleticism, and trainability that Mazey consistently demonstrates.
Although Mazey was never campaigned in hunt tests or field trials, she displayed tremendous natural marking ability and an undeniable passion for the water. Whether training or simply enjoying a day outdoors, she attacked every retrieve with enthusiasm and possessed the confidence and natural instincts that make exceptional retrievers.
Today, Mazey’s influence is already becoming evident through her offspring. She is consistently producing large, powerful puppies with exceptional intelligence, strong natural marking ability, and an outstanding attitude toward water. Just as importantly, her puppies possess the wonderful temperaments and trainability that have become synonymous with Bourbon Country Retrievers.
As her offspring continue to mature and prove themselves in the field, we believe Mazey’s greatest accomplishments are still ahead of her.
